Warning: breathtaking visual feast ahead
Showing some pictures from the beautiful Ringsjo area in Sweden. We signed up for a half day tour with the school on Arrival Day for 280 SEK per person that includes food and transport and it was one of the best decision we ever made! The Ringsjo area is located in the countryside, it is rather inaccessible by bus or bike and we didn’t know how to drive so we were glad that we got to explore Ringsjo via this tour. It was a Saturday well spent (:
Rovarekulan Nature Reserve
The first stop we made was to the beautiful Rovarekulan Nature Reserve. Our tour guide gave us fresh fruits to eat before the hike through the reserve.
The trail is pretty easy to follow and there are two main landmarks – a stone bridge at the entrance and a wooden bridge along the way.
The start of our hiking adventure!
Getting the selfie stick out because we Singaporean.
I love how the sunlight falls in the forest to create shadows and silhouettes – it makes everything so much more beautiful!
Happy to breathe in the fresh air!
On the wooden bridge
Even though it’s winter, the grass is really beautiful! You also get to see the dead leaves creating huge orange mats on the floor so I guess you get a bit of autumn scenery too!
No filter no editing I swear.
On the bus the tour guide gave us some delicious biscuits before our next and final stop at Bojokloster. Bojokloster is a castle/nunnery with a rose garden, court yard, flower gardens and park, with animal enclosures, a thousand year old oak tree and playground. (The animals are kept indoors during the winter so we didn’t get to see or pet them)
Pleasantly surprised to find that the fish soup was delicious! Warm, tasty soup for the cold explorers.
We finished lunch early and went off to explore on our own before the official tour started so our pictures would be people-free!
The Ringjon lake is the second largest lake in Sweden!

In case any of you were remotely interested in what I was wearing that day. My sweater is from Forever 21 and my skirt is from Lowry Farm which is sadly closing down in Singapore ): I’m wearing Heat Tech tights from Uniqlo and my boots are from Timberland! I got my thinsulate gloves for only $5 and they work so much better than my Heat Tech ones!
Glad to be on the trip of a lifetime with you.
