During my trip to Madrid, Spain, we took a day trip out to Segovia. Segovia is a town bursting with charm- the majestic Roman Aqueducts, the winding streets full of character, and not to mention the fairytale-esque castle!
It was a super sunny day with few clouds in the sky, so there were loads of opportunities for playing with the shadows in this series of photos.

Some pictures of the charming old town…
The Roman Aqueduct is the first thing to greet us when we alight from the bus! All the photos shown here are absolutely NOT edited in any way so the sky is REALLY that blue!!
The gorgeous cathedral
Alcázar of Segovia
I thought it was quite interesting that the castle chose to display a lot of their armoury and weaponry! I think it was only one with this display out of all the castles that I have been to in Europe (which isn’t that many actually LOL).
The wishing well on the top of the castle
Paid to go up the viewing tower and got to see this prison cell on our way up the 94356 steps. They used to hold prisoners here in the past, how cool is that! I really detest going down winding narrow staircases but the view is almost always worth it so…

I think my photographer upped his skills! LOL (omg check out my roots)
Walked into some bakery along the street for a quick lunch. I think these were like 1.50 Euros and they were quite filling! I don’t know, maybe because my Swedish exchange experience is on the expensive side so I felt that everything was very affordable in Spain!
Had Llao Llao at its birthplace. Despite its popularity in SG there aren’t that many outlets in Madrid and they’re more often populated with tourists. Delicious nonetheless!
P.S. I’m currently in Hong Kong! Stay tuned for updates 🙂
