from the other side….
Is it too late to crack such Adele jokes? *blush*
I’ve been a little MIA because I’ve taken up a part-time internship with a vegan restaurant while balancing ongoing commitments such as school (YAY final sem woohoo), tuition, dance etc. Haven’t had time to update or do any proper reviews/shoots. Am really looking forward to recess…
Managed to squeeze in some time to film & edit a short tutorial on how I get my loose waves using the Babyliss Miracurl. Click below to watch:
Irrelevant selfie just because hehe
I’ve wanted the Babyliss Miracurl for ages, and when the price dropped from $250 sgd to 199 sgd during their sale period, I decided it was time to get one for myself! I’ve been using it pretty frequently and I really think this is a good investment, given that I would probably burn myself with the typical curling wands in the market given how clumsy I am. I took about 10 minutes to curl my whole head of hair (the unedited length of the video), which is pretty fast.
– Won’t burn yourself as the heating mechanism is inside the head
– Really easy & quick to learn, and to use
– Heats up within minutes
– Multiple settings in one machine, unlike the multiple rods in typical curling wands
– Automatic timing function so you don’t have to count manually/mentally
– Relatively more bulky, difficult to travel with
– Can only curl small strands of hair at one go
– Warranty centre is in HK
In conclusion, the functions are pretty awesome for Miracurl but there are certainly a few downsides to the product as well. I would still recommend this especially for people who are always in a rush to get ready in the morning and for those who are quite a klutz when it comes to hairstyling as it’s pretty foolproof.
I hope this review was helpful for anyone out there considering a new curling tool. Stay tuned for more!
